OPC/PC– 4h simulator session at ATR Training Center

Briefing
Make sure to bring the following to the simulator session:
- valid license
- valid medical
- ID/badge
- Logbook
- Passport
Session Overview
- LOFT ESSV-ESSB
- OPC – Manoeuvre part (incl mandatory items and low visibility)
The following applies for the session: Expect crew and pax to be onboard until other info is given by examiner. Regard this session as a normal flight and base your decisions on that. I.e you don´t need to ask the examiner if a failed eng should be restarted. it´s your decision.
The LOFT is based on a flight between ESSV and ESSB. The LOFT will focus on procedure for normal operations and decision making regarding failure, The scenario starts at ESSV apron.
Briefing package may be downloaded in advance. Use IFS to prepare a load sheet and SPS to calculate performance. Both pilot shall be ready to demonstrate load sheet and performance calculations during briefing. Please inform the examiner about selection of alternates, block fuel etc.
OPC – Manoeuvre part
This part starts with a flight ESSB RWY30 RESNA 4Z (RVR200m) -ESSA 01L RVR 550/300/150, T/O ALT ESSA, ALTN ESGG
Low visibility part takes place at ESSA 01L.
Important! Between this and the next OPC you need to perform minimum one simulated CATII in the aircraft. This approach shall be noted in your logbook.
Pilot Presentation
This may be conducted as a general briefing, covering the system as a hole, or a detailed description of a specific area within the subject.
Example: system knowledge layout, downgrades and memory items.
Briefing subject for the Commander: GRF, Global Reporting Format (Differences when using SPS for T/O, Dispatch landing and inflight landing.
The applicant shall demonstrate ability to:

The following limits shall apply corrected to make allowance for turbulent conditions and the handling qualities and performance of the aeroplane used:
- operate the aeroplane within its limitations;
- complete all manoeuvres with smoothness and accuracy;
- exercise good judgement and airmanship;
- apply aeronautical knowledge;
- maintain control of the aeroplane at all times in such manner that the successful outcome of a procedure or manoeuvre is never in doubt;
- understand and apply crew co-ordination and incapacitation procedures;
- communicate effectively with the other crew member
