Training Session briefing 2026-2

The training program

The goal of the session is to train and facilitate knowledge and skills in technical systems, SOP and CRM. After the training the pilot should show the necessary attitude, skills and knowledge in the performed exercises. 

Following items are included in the program

  • DSC 24 – Electrical
  • DSC 30 – Ice and Rain protection
  • DSC 31 – Indication and recording system
  • DSC 33 Lights
  • Performance (normal operations and abnormal consideration in connection to system limitations)
  • Runway Safety (Incursion/Excursion and operational aspects)
  • TCAS (practical training)
  • Winter and Cold operations (Operational and procedure training including Severe Icing and system training)
  • Emergency Evacuation
  • Crosswind training
  • UPRT (CMD R-SEAT)

Briefing subjects

Session brefing is mandatory. Crew should be well prepared for the briefing and understand the exercises before entering the simulator. This requires selfstudies and preparation according to exercises described above.

The session will take place in ESTA airport and consist of four parts:

Simulator program

Session starts with engines running on stand with pax onboard. Quick setup for departure.

  1. Clearance and WX: DCT MIKNA FL090. RW14 060/22 4000 SN BKN015 -03/00 Q989 RWCC 5/5/5. TCAS during climb followed by a MFC1A + MFC1B fault. This abnormal procedure will include associated faults on both electrical and anti-de-ice systems. A careful follow through of all associated procedures and performance calculations will be necessary. Landing performed on ESTA RW14.
  2. New start RW14. Winter an Cold procedures with Severe Icing training.
  3. New start RW14 with RP UPRT exercise followed by TCAS training, Approach with a G/A due to runway incursion followed by a full procedure NDB approach RW14. X-wind landing training as time permits with a emergency evacuation as conlusion of this part,
  4. Commander R-Seat UPRT program
